The Center for Videoscopic & Laser Surgery
The Center for Videoscopic and Laser Surgery was established in 1993 when Dr. McKernan dedicated his practice to minimally invasive surgery. His background included all types of open general surgery including: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon, Hernia, Spleen, Liver, Adrenal gland and Trauma.
This extensive experience, as well as endoscopy work for gastrointestinal diagnostics, laid the foundation for his pioneering efforts in laparoscopic general surgery. CVLS is not a surgical center, and surgery does not take place within the CVLS. CVLS is fully devoted to providing service in minimally invasive laparoscopic general surgery.
Dr. McKernan's name has become synonymous with expert surgical practice. CVLS is an extension of that excellence, and strives to provide every client with an efficient, effective, and personable encounter during his or her pre- and post-operative appointments.
